Population disparities in Toronto wards

John Michael McGrath had a story in OpenFile over Christmas about the surprising differences in population between wards in Toronto. (For arcane reasons, the boundaries are still based on the 1991 census.)

The accompanying map was a sort of best-case scenario to produce: with clean data and a ward boundary set I’d worked with before, the whole thing took, start to finish, 42 minutes. Each ward has a Google Charts bar chart showing how it relates to the average ward population.
