Voter turnout

Here is a map of turnout of actual voters vs. registered voters. (We have to bear in mind that not all eligible voters were registered.)

Turnout seems to have been highest in some hard-fought wards like Parkdale-High Park (13), where incumbent Bill Saundercook went down, Beaches-East York (32), a much-watched ward which ended up shedding incumbent Sandra Bussin and Toronto-Danforth (29), where Mary Fragedakis ended up with a solid victory over Jane Pitfield.

Interestingly, given Rob Ford’s victory, turnout was relatively low in the suburbs.
